Full Bellies and Hearts

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a number of "before" posts, laying out the various thought processes that went into the big catering project that I've been working on over the last couple of months:

Catering for Eighty
No Woman is an Island
Catering Menu Ideas and Recipes
Wedding Menu Revealed!
Self-Catering Supplies

And, because the wedding actually took place two days ago (!), I'll be writing the "after" posts this week, telling the story of how it all went down, and offering some reflections and tips on this whole amateur wedding catering business. I'm planning on covering the purchase of food and supplies, the organization of the tasks, the actual cooking festivities, and the wedding itself. I'd love some feedback about what kinds of topics you all would like me to write about, what questions you have, what kind of stories you'd especially like to hear.

But for now, let me leave you with some photos to whet the appetite!

Can't believe we did it!

  1. The food looks beautiful! I want to know what's in those pretty tissue paper packages in the first photo. -B

  2. This was a remarkable undertaking. You are a remarkable person.

(And that is why I am remarking on you, right now.)
